Green Innovation: Collaboration of Three Pillars to Achieve Sustainable Agriculture
Jakarta, Disway.id – In an effort to address the challenges of waste management and enhance food security, IKAL Bhakti Nusantara Cooperative – LEMHANAS, PT Chita Agri Indonesia, and PT Masaro have established a strategic partnership. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in transforming organic waste into valuable resources while promoting the growth of Indonesia’s agricultural sector.
At the heart of this partnership is the advanced technology developed by PT Masaro. This technology is capable of converting organic waste into high-quality compost and renewable energy. The resulting compost will be used to enrich the farmland owned by PT Chita Agri, which spans across various regions, including Indramayu Regency in West Java. In this way, organic waste—which has long posed environmental challenges—can be transformed into a valuable asset for the agricultural sector.
“We are very enthusiastic about this partnership,” said Ade Sjam Tjahjadi, Chairman of the IKAL Bhakti Nusantara – LEMHANAS Cooperative. “This is a concrete step toward realizing sustainable agriculture and addressing the waste problem in Indonesia. We hope this project can serve as a model for other regions.”
Meanwhile, Machiko Nacih, President Director of PT Chita Agri Indonesia, added, “This partnership aligns with our commitment to developing environmentally friendly agriculture. By leveraging the latest technology, we can increase agricultural productivity while minimizing negative environmental impacts.”
Challenges and Solutions
Despite its promising outlook, the partnership also faces several challenges, particularly related to regulations and bureaucracy. However, all three parties remain optimistic about overcoming these obstacles. “We have conducted in-depth studies and mapped out the necessary steps to ensure the smooth implementation of this project,” explained Prof. Dr. Zainal Abidin from PT Masaro.
In the initial phase, pilot projects will be carried out in Indramayu Regency and Sleman Regency. These locations were chosen based on their natural resource potential and support from local governments. In the future, it is hoped that the project can be expanded to other regions across Indonesia.
Support from Various Parties
This partnership has received strong support from various stakeholders, including the Supervisory Board of the IKAL Bhakti Nusantara – LEMHANAS Cooperative. Air Marshal (Ret.) Daryatmo, a member of the Supervisory Board, emphasized the importance of trust in building a successful partnership. “The success of this project depends greatly on the commitment and trust among all parties involved,” he said.
With collaboration among the private sector, government, and communities, the project is expected to make a tangible contribution to sustainable development in Indonesia.
